Privacy Policy

BeeJobs ("BeeJobs", "we", "us") is a job-tracking platform operated by Staffbee Solutions Inc. It helps candidates manage job opportunities that recruiters send them by email. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Contact us at support@staffbees.com.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in, we collect your name and email address. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email; we do not store passwords.

Profile and CV data

We store the profile details, CVs, and documents that you (or the staffing team that enrolled you) provide, along with the tailored CVs the platform generates for you.

Google user data (with your consent)

If you choose to connect your Gmail account, you grant BeeJobs access through Google's official Gmail API with the following scopes:

  • Read your email (gmail.readonly) — we read messages in your mailbox to identify emails from recruiters and extract job details such as job title, company, location, and required skills. Job-related threads are stored so you can view them alongside the job.
  • Send email on your behalf (gmail.send) — we send an email from your account only when you compose it and explicitly press send inside BeeJobs.
  • Basic profile (openid, email, profile) — used solely to identify which Google account you connected.

How we use Google user data

Google user data is used only to provide the features you see in the app:

  • Identifying job-related emails and turning them into job cards on your board.
  • Extracting structured job details (title, company, skills) from those emails.
  • Displaying the email threads related to each job.
  • Sending replies and outreach emails that you explicitly compose and send.
  • Matching and tailoring your CVs against extracted job descriptions.

To classify recruiter emails and extract job details, message content is processed by Google's Gemini API. This processing is automated, happens only to provide the features above, and your data is not used to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

No human at BeeJobs reads your email content except with your explicit permission (for example, when you ask for support), where necessary for security or abuse investigation, or where required by law.

Google API Limited Use disclosure

BeeJobs' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we share data

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. Data is shared only with the service providers required to run the platform:

  • Amazon Web Services — cloud hosting and storage (US East region).
  • Google — the Gmail API (mailbox access you granted) and the Gemini API (automated email classification and job-detail extraction).

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and services.

Data storage and security

  • All data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States.
  • Data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
  • Gmail OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with a dedicated AWS KMS key; databases are encrypted at rest.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

Data retention and deletion

  • Disconnecting Gmail — you can disconnect your Gmail account at any time from within BeeJobs. Disconnecting stops all mailbox access and deletes our stored access and refresh tokens.
  • Revoking via Google — you can also revoke BeeJobs' access from your Google Account permissions page.
  • Account deletion — to delete your account and all associated data (including stored email threads, extracted jobs, and CVs), email us at support@staffbees.com. We will complete the deletion within 30 days.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support@staffbees.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection law.

Children

BeeJobs is a professional job-tracking service and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
